Work in progress

So I started playing around in After effects to see if I could create the desired effect.

I started by taking the logo from the Sky Arts resources and made a simple stencil by using alpha mattes, as seen below:

This was a simple blue box with the text being alpha matted through the blue box. This will act as the stencil where the paint will hit it and go through the letters to create a painted word.
